Be SMART Florida Consumer Safety Awareness Campaign

Be SMART Florida is a public awareness campaign reminding all Florida consumers to take commonsense actions to slow the spread of COVID-19. The campaign, launched by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS), highlights the need for Floridians to look out for each other, follow scientifically proven measures that limit community spread, and fight back against COVID-19.

SMART is an acronym for:

S: Social distance
M: Mask up
A: Avoid Crowds
R: Remember to wash your hands
T: Throw away disposable items like masks, gloves and wipes

Through this consumer awareness campaign, Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried is asking all Floridians to do their part, take necessary precautions to save lives, and help our most vulnerable through these uncertain times. We can reopen our economy safely if we work together — so let’s Be SMART, Florida!
